Biggest Stars of the LPGA are Coming To Hollywood


One of the best fields in women's golf will be on the grounds of Wilshire Country Club when the stars of the LPGA make their first return to the city of Los Angeles in more than ten years. The final field for the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open will include 91 of the top 100 players on the LPGA’s 2017 money list.

All top five players on the Rolex World Rankings will be on hand, led by Shanshan Feng, the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world. The final commitments include 19 of the last 20 major winners, including Danielle Kang, So-yeon Ryu, Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko and Anna Nordqvist. The field also includes every season-ending money leader since 2010, highlighted by Stacy Lewis, Sung Hyun Park, Ariya Jutanugarn, Inbee Park and Yani Tseng.

The field features every winner of the Race to the CME, the LPGA’s season-long points contest that began in 2014, including 2017 winner Lexi Thompson. Seventeen of the top 20 finishers in the 2017 Race to the CME will be on hand at Wilshire.

Other notable players in the final field include World Golf Hall of Famer Juli Inkster, as well as crowd favorites such as Michelle Wie, Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Natalie Gulbis, Cristie Kerr and Christina Kim.

The inaugural HUGEL-JTBC LA Open will be played April 19–22 at historic Wilshire Country Club. The final field of 144 players will compete over 72 holes at Wilshire Country Club for a share of the $1.5 million purse. The tournament will be televised live on Golf Channel.
