Major Champions Danielle Kang, Sei Young Kim, Inbee Park, 2019 Champion Minjee Lee and Nasa Hataoka Among Early Commitments; Six of the World’s Top 10 Entered
Tickets on Sale Now for Both the JTBC LA Open and the Newly Minted JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes
LOS ANGELES, March 7, 2022 – World No. 2 Nelly Korda, defending champion Brooke Henderson, 2019 champion / World No. 4 Minjee Lee and major champions Danielle Kang, Sei Young Kim and Inbee Park headline early commitments for the 2022 JTBC LA Open, taking place at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles, April 18-24.
Six of the top-10 players in the world are early entries into the JTBC LA Open, including Korda (2), Lee (4), Kang (5), Park (6), Kim (7), and Nasa Hataoka (9). 2018 champion Moriya Jutanugarn and Los Angeles-area residents Alison Lee, Lizette Salas and Angel Yin are also early commitments to the championship.
They will join a 144-player field competing in the 72-hole event Thursday-Sunday, April 21-24, for a share of the $1.5 million purse. Players have until Wednesday, April 13 to commit to the JTBC LA Open. GOLF Channel will televise live all four rounds of play in primetime on the East Coast.
The first of back-to-back LPGA events scheduled to take place in greater Los Angeles, the JTBC LA Open also will welcome the return of spectators to the championship for the first time since 2019.

Wilshire Country Club returns as the host venue for the JTBC LA Open for a fourth year and will welcome fans back to the championship for the first time since 2019. Tickets are now on-sale for the 2022 JTBC LA Open exclusively online at www.la-open.com. A variety of ticket packages are available, including exclusive hospitality and general admissions tickets offering a wide degree of entertainment and access. In addition, all service personnel, including military (active, retired, reserve and veteran), fire, police and EMS and their immediate family (up to four tickets) will receive complimentary admission to the 2022 JTBC LA Open and to the Hero Outpost on the 18th green, compliments of SERVPRO. The complimentary SERVPRO Hero Outpost tickets must be downloaded in advance from www.la-open.com and proper ID is required at the main entrance. Children under 17 also will be admitted free into the tournament with a paid adult.
The JTBC LA Open is the first of two back-to-back LPGA Tour events that will take place in April in Los Angeles for the first time. Following the JTBC LA Open will be the inaugural JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes, taking place April 25-May. 1.
Fans will have the opportunity to attend both championships via the “LA LPGA Dual Ticket” – a weekly grounds pass that provides access to both tournaments – marking the first time that spectators will have the opportunity to purchase one pass for back-to-back LPGA events. Tickets will be sold exclusively via the tournament’s official websites; the JTBC LA Open at www.la-open.com and the JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes at www.jtbcchamp.com.
Early commitments for the JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes will be announced next week.
Volunteer registration for both the JTBC LA Open and JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes also is now open. Registration for both tournaments is $55, which includes a polo, hat or visor, food, and beverage, and two daily tickets. For those who register to volunteer at the JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes, $5 will be donated to the Race to End Alzheimer’s Association. The JTBC LA Open made its debut in 2018, marking the LPGA Tour’s return to Los Angeles in more than a decade. Brooke Henderson captured her 10th LPGA Tour win at 16-under par at the 2021 edition of the championship, contested without fans in attendance. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the pandemic. Wilshire Country Club, which opened in 1919, is one of a select few venues to host events on the LPGA, PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions, as well as the PGA Championship.
